Hi all.

On Saturday I came home from an overnight trip to find my seventeen year-old cat Madeliene acting unlike herself. After seeing that she was disinterested in food and showing no improvement the next morning, I brought her to the emergency vet clinic where she still is today. Her diagnosis is still uncertain: they're unsure what is causing her to rapidly become so ill, and in the process of discovering what could be wrong, the bills have stacked up pretty high.

So far, the costs of Madeliene's vet bills have racked up about $1000, and since she's still being treated, it's likely to go up. As most of you know, I've been unemployed since August and both myself and Evan are on unemployment, with me pending to potentially lose my unemployment as early as next week. My mother, whom many of you know as artists who've done work for her, or LARPers who've played with her, is an entirely giving creature: she's paid for literally everything in the absence of me being able to. While I intend to pay what I can back to her, I know my current financial limitations. And so I'm looking toward others who may be inclined to give a little generosity where she's been kind to me, or maybe some of you too.

This is a two-tiered endeavor: ideally, I'd like to run an auction or a kickstarter to raise funds. That being said, if anyone has anything to contribute to that auction, whether it's art or fursuiting bits or games or what-have-you -- I would love to be able to put that towards this cause. Secondly, I will also be making a paypal account to accept donations on her behalf.

If anyone would like to help out with either of this things, send me an email at youthculture@gmail.com. This is the cat who has been with me for the majority of my life, and a woman who has supported myself and others no matter the cost. I promise you, every penny counts.

Current donations: $695
Goal: $1200
Remaining: $505
