If you're here when I get back...
I feel sweetly sentimental right now. Two of my best friends from elementary school just got a hold of me, and it's so nice to take walks down memory lane. Life at good old Skyline was simple, light, and pure. I definitely miss that. Swells is having a party at the Grange Saturday night. If you ever drive out into the country on Skyline Road, you'll eventually pass an old green warehouse. That's the kick ass grange! The home of my first school dance and loads of childhood adventures. It'll be fun to go back.
Work has been great, and I love the girls I work with. There's a huge difference between just being nice for kicks and actually making some connections. It's sweetsauce to have the latter.
Last night, Healy (my manager) left three of us new girls to close on our own. Jaimie, Jess, and Laura (RebJac - Laura's going to Brown! Do you know her? I know you've made some PDX/Brown connections!) hadn't closed very much, so it was fun helping them out. I LOVE how our dept is always the last ones in the entire store. Security turns off all the lights every night, forcing us to clean the floor in pitch black. FUN. Seeing familiar peeps every day has also been a plus. So far, sightings have included: CNASTY! (thanks for visiting!), CSB, Alexis, (cheer friends!), two cheer coaches, Aja, Katie Leonard, Kirsten from soccer, ODS sixth graders, Claire Bradley!, Alex and Meg, Monica, and NEVA KNOTT. Random, random, random. I also have spent the last two breaks with Hannah Habies and Melissa...they both work near by.
Today is my second day off, and I'm exhausted. Lolo and I are hanging out lata, but for now, tanning and music sound like the perfect summer blend.
