I am hungry for something that will make me real....

I was thinking back to summers when I was a kid and realized how much I've changed. I used to be able to pass idle time with lazy activities....tv, books, riding my bike...boredom was my friend. That's definitely not the case anymore. Call it ADD, but my biggest enemy is that very B word. Fuck you boredom!

I was supposed to start working at Nordy's right after ODS, but my manager was on vaca and HR screwed up royally with my training dates. The delay kicked my ass! At first I thought so much extra time would be perfect for hanging out with friends. Big fat wrong. Since when does the entire LHS senior class work a bazillion hours a week? So, yesterday I decided to find more jobs. That's when my incredibly cool, 20 year old boss called and offered me a heavy work schedule, making my day.

So now, I figure summer's filling up with work and lots of fun. Today was parfait (rhyme time!). Headed to the neighbor's house. Laxed in their garden (a sanctuary in the suburbs thanks to lots of foliage and grazing deer). Wrote thank yous for grad gifts. That's when my phone started vibrating like whoa. First was CSB texting me about some "huge" news. At the peak of curiosity, I had a stare off with my cell phone as I awaited a reply. Finally, Jenkins called and delivered the news. CSB called back and we discussed. Mom called for her daily check up.

Finally, Sam called and we talked about last night. I went to Sarah's apt. for a partay (Logan's bday) and had a great time. Travis and Sam from soccer, some other Trojans, Max (my dance off boy!), Liz, Melissa, Kristin, Danielle, Jenny, and a lot of other people showed up. I visited Lolo at work to see if she wanted to come. Negative. Sarah's apartment was the cleanest I've ever seen it (her Mom's out of town) and covered in Xmas lights. Those lights were put to good use in forming a dance off square...if you step in the square of lights BEWARE...you MUST DANCE! The dancing was improved by the presence of alcoholic beverages....

This afternoon, Mom and I went to Border's, where I got lost in the music. I've decided to pack up my stuff, say screw you to Berkeley and move into Border's. Considering I'm not a fan of actually purchasing music, why would I want to do that? Well, my friend, they do have a database of just about every track every created. I found so much great stuff to download and am now worried that I'm addicted to music.

Last but not least: went to a pick up soccer game at Gabriel. Plies' cousin invited me. It was such a blast. Summer is supposed to be inundated by those kind of activities...hanging out with random people, appreciating some long awaited sun and driving home with new music. I was pleasantly surprised to find Hannah walking out of the SW Community Center, where she works as a swimming instructor. Good times.

Ok...long ass entry is done. Happy summer guys...it's supposed to be hot tomorrow!
