Do not get me wrong, I ADORE this show, I think it's amazing and shouldn't have been canceled. However, I can understand why it did get canceled, and I really do believe that in season three it lost it's way. I'm just upset that it never got to prove that it could come back to what the show started out as, good tv.
So where did it all go wrong? For one, there wasn't really one huge mystery being solved this season, just some lesser plot line mysteries here and there. The reason I really loved season one and two of Veronica Mars was because there were these well thought out and INTERESTING mysteries that were all interconnected and solved by the end of the season. Secondly, Veronica and Logan's relationship really killed it for me. Talk about a bad romance guys... I admit I enjoyed some moments they had together, but man there are just way too many issues going on there. They are just BAD for one another. This season it just seemed to go all downhill for the two of them.
Now they did try and reinvent the show in a last attempt to save it for a 4th season, and I have seen the short test "preview" thing (of what season 4 would have looked like) they filmed for it... but I don't know how I really would have felt skipping 5 years into the future and having our main character living an almost completely different life. It's tempting, in order to see the story continue, but when shows try to pull that shit it usually doesn't turn out as good as it sounds. So part of me is glad that it ended were it did so that it couldn't be ruined more for me.
