Apparently what is "not very good" at home is "really quite good" here. In other words, I made the team. They're going to try me at outside midfielder, which is a position I do have some experience with, so it should be fine. Tante is taking me to dinner in celebration. I'm absurdly pleased.

Ooh, that's great, Ernst!

I shall have to attend a game or two, then. :)

It is rather great, isn't it? It's a silly thing to be proud over, I think, but I'm proud anyway.

I find that it's more exciting to play than to watch, but you're quite welcome to.

You should be proud, and it's nice to see you happy.

It would be exciting if I did not injure myself every time I played a team sport. :)

It's nice to have something to be happy about.

It's strange, I injure myself just walking. I'm really quite clumsy. But with a ball, it's really not so bad.

It is, isn't it?

I'll have to take your word for it. :)

It is.

Well, it might not be the case with you, I can only speak for myself. Though I had honestly thought I was very clumsy with the ball. Until I saw the other boys at try-outs, at least.

Thank you. And if it doesn't turn out to be fun, at least it's something to do, right?
