Coffee/Tea

For me, they're both more ways of procrastinating than methods of focus. I focus pretty well once I commit to it, I just hate focusing on boring shit! It wilts my flowering heart. How I'd rather goof off or make fun of an author than take them seriously. Maybe that's how my essay will go.

BTW- Petrarch: I OWN YOU. Petrarch is my weasel-bitch. Every one of his poems I can summarize in a single scathing sentence. I demonstrated this in my stupid ass class (E101W) today, with laughs from the smartest students and the teacher. I also decided perhaps the teacher isn't an idiot, she just often insists on writing on the board while she talks, instead of just lecturing. The result is her standing up there, pho-net-ic-al-ly giv-ing th-e lec-ture. It's so slow, it's just not the firehose of knowledge I'm used to drinking from. Whenever she gets off the whiteboard (rarely), she actually demonstrates a pretty solid knowledge of what she's talking about. If only she'd heard of Powerpoint (linked article written by my roommate Ben Ritter).
