Thing is, Jo's used to tending bar. She's a damn professional at it by now. She's used to tending bar for hunters. She's used to listening to their stories, used to the smell of nicotine and whiskey lingering long after they came in with a cocky swagger and a wound or two. Even after she'd left the Roadhouse and started working on her own, she'd managed to find establishments to work in that would have hunters more often than not.

This is not the case with the bar in Rift-altered Chicago. In this bar, there are no hunters trying to impress her with their werewolf tales and battle scars. In this bar, Jo has to put up with sob stories involving a woman being cheated on in her birthday, a divorcee who called off her fourth engagement, and a twenty-nine year old virgin named Bob.

Needless to say, Jo's got no sympathy for any of 'em.

Needless to say, she finishes her shift early and hightails out of the place.

Problem is, she's got nowhere to go and it leads to aimless wandering. She doesn't feel like going back to the Kashtta. She won't look a gift horse in the mouth, and the Kashtta does give her free room and board, but she can only handle the place for so long. It leads her to the Luna bar, looking for one Dean Winchester.

He promised her a drink and after the week she's had, she's here to collect.
