hi guys!!! i miss people in greenville so bad, but new york is terrific. i've seen a lot more dominicans this year than i ever have before, and they are great people. i have a big audition today for the american musical theatre ensemble which i know makes me a giant nerd but i'm really excited and i think it would be a good opportunity if i make it out of the 123092839 people auditioning. i might have a shot except for the fact that i cant really dance and so i think for my dance audition i'll just suzuki stomp around and everyone will be really confused and electrified. people should come visit me soon. i'm taking great classes this semester, including one called 'fantastic imaginations' which is on tolkien basically and is amazing. i was reading this essay on the book of fantasy and it had a quote that fantasy 'remains ambiguous; it stands between the false, the foolish, the delusory, the shallows of the mind, and teh mind's deep connection with the real.' and that made me think of prog. hahahah thats ridiculous that i typed that all out. i'm going to go eat fried plantains and go to theory and freak out some more. here are some pictures of my time back:

i took some of the new foreigners out to dinner. that is ulrike from germany, biraj from england, and anthony from nova scotia. i took them to dinosaur barbeque and we all ate a lot of ribs.
