It's been a pretty great couple of days. On Thursday my boss asked me to work Friday, and take the weekend off. So I ended up having Saturday, Sunday and Monday off. I went and took my last final exam Thursday night despite the weather, went to see The Mist with Dave is Cool and then went in to work on Friday. I was a bit frazzled during the day trying to figure out my game plan, but everything worked out well. I picked up the Cargo Van I rented from U-Haul, and Aaron helped me move the rest of my stuff out of the apartment on Park Ave. Afterwards, we met up with Ben who decided to come up and get snowed in with me for the weekend. We picked up Steve and Emily in Mattydale and we got some food at HK. Then Ben and I went to see I Am Legend. It was pretty great! I was a little jumpy, but I love that stuff.

Saturday morning I slept in and lounged around. Ben and I ran some errands to get prepared for being snowed in. We picked up a bunch of groceries so we had enough to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner the next couple of days. We rented Band of Brothers from Blockbuster, I got my laundry finished, and then we came home. That took most of the day because we spent the majority of it lounging around. We got back just in time to avoid the weather. Ben made us dinner and helped me do the dishes and clean the kitchen, then we watched the first two episodes of Band of Brothers.

Sunday was more of the same. Ben made ommlet's for breakfast, we caught up on the news and sports, watched more Band of Brothers and just enjoyed the day. We tried getting people together for sledding, but it was a no go. Ben went out and dug both of our cars out and moved them for the plow. Eventually we decided to brave the weather and went snow tubing up at Burnet Park. The snow stopped falling, and the view was magnificent! You could see the dome and downtown Syracuse. It was very nice. After eating the ground a bunch of times, we lounged around and built a snowman! It was so much fun and he was super cute. Unfortunately some kids showed up and happened to run right into him. It was all in good fun though. We made it home safe, warmed up, finished up Band of Brothers and hit the hay.

Monday we got up a little bit earlier. I had to go in to work for a couple hours to finish printing some Christmas cards so I brought Ben along. My boss wasn't around so we decided to go to the Market Diner for some breakfast and then headed back. I got everything done in about two hours, and we decided to bake some cookies so we went to my grandmother's and raided her kitchen. Afterwards we headed over to Walmart to say hi to Steve and grab the rest of the stuff we needed. We decided on sugar cookies and ginger snaps. Mmmm! We made it back to the apartment, showered, made up the dough and headed out to go ice skating and to the mall. We went up to South Campus and ice skated for about an hour. It's so much fun being all goofy. We got to skate on the big rink, and no one else was there. I had to do a small amount of Christmas shopping for my co-workers, so Ben and I wandered over to the mall. I ran into some people I knew, got my shopping done, and all was well. We headed back to the apartment, Ben made us some dinner and we started our baking. It was a huge mess and hilarious. We were definitely on sugar highs because we just could not stop laughing. We had to improvise on a lot of things, but the cookies came out much better than anticipated! We crashed pretty soon after that.

Today was much less eventful. Ben helped me get up this morning, cleaned off my car and we said goodbye. Work went off pretty well, and I came home to just relax. I really needed it. I work everyday thru Saturday when we have our office Christmas party. Tomorrow night I have my first indoor soccer game, and Thursday and Friday I need to figure out packing and laundry. I have the office party Saturday which Ben is coming up for [weather permitting] and Sunday after work I head out for PA. I'll be there from Sunday thru Christmas. After breakfast and presents I'm driving up to Binghamton to spend the rest of the week with Ben and his family.

Christmas afternoon and evening is fun hangouts, food and A Christmas Story. Then Ben, Dusty and I are going to see Sweeney Todd and National Treasure 2! Wednesday is Ben's birthday [!!!] and we're all going shopping. We are going to make dinner at home and the whole family is going to a hockey game that evening. Then hopefully Ben and I will catch an early bedtime as we head out for NYC on Thursday morning! We'll get in around 9:30 or 10:00am, catch the subway down to Central Park and head on over to spend the day at the Natural History Museum [thank you!] We're going to wander around in the afternoon to find some really great New York pizza, then head back to finish the evening at the museum.... I'm pretty sure he got us the all inclusive passes for the IMAX and everything. Then later in the evening we are going to wander around Times Square, then hop a bus back to Binghamton. It's going to be a long but very amazing day! Then I have Friday off to relax and then I'll be back to Syracuse later that evening.

It's going to be a long but good week. I'm excited to see my family, and spend Christmas with them.
