peace?
i just wanted to comment briefly on the events of the headline news for today one of which pertained to the atrocities in Haiti. I have been following the conflict there and was surprised last week on sunday to hear that President Aristide abducated/resigned the throne and fled to Central African Republic with his wife. There was just a riot in which 4 were shot to death and many more were wounded, of course a "riot" that started out as a peaceful protest.
i know that most of you dont really care, but this is just another futile attempt of the people who i believe were correcting in rejoicing in Aristide's resignation to peacefully demonstrate their views.
why is violence always the reaction to events like this? its really sad to me to see that violence is not a last resort, but a preliminary reaction!
i wish there was a way to have peace.... hmm.... what a concept!
