any regrets?

(EDIT: 'The Hofstra Girl' is now up on Youtube, so check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtYJAXlPRmQ)

so i got a free month trial for a netflix membership.

and ive been doing a lot of arrested development watching and a lot of documentary watching.

im starting to watch this documentary called stagedoor, telling the story of 5 campers at the prestigious stagedoor manor acting camp.

it got me thinking 'what would my college life be like if I stuck w/ being a drama/theatre arts major at some college (or even at hofstra)?'

i'll always have a passion for singing and acting.... its practically in my blood.
and i miss doing theatre. and singing for any audience that would listen.

but do i miss the constant rejection?
or never getting a speaking role?
or if i even recieved a spot in a show (like in high school), i would get chorus parts
(because for the most part the director would play favorites)?

hell no.

i may get rejected in the film world.
actually i probably will get rejected... probably more than i can imagine.

but i least i can feel proud of putting something together that may be entirely my own creation.

like my final intro to film project, 'the hofstra girl'. the story of a lonely superheroine (dressed in a leotard, a cape, leggings, and ugg boots.... true long island attire...) who attempts to save others who don't need to be saved and is seldom appreciated. but, in the end, she finds love; in another lonely soul.

i went through so much shit during and after the shoot... from reshoots to broken cameras to unreliable actors. most of the time, i was so stressed out, i thought i wasn't going to be able to finish and i was going to have to take an incomplete for the course.

but i was able to put together a product that im pretty happy with (minus the splicing problems and a couple of overexposed shots.. but thats another story).

and most importantly, it was a learning experience... that kind of shit is gonna happen in every film i involve myself with. and its something i have to deal with.. and it's something i can learn from so i can improve the next time.
