(no subject)
Thanksgiving was super fun! It was just the right combination of people to be relaxed, yet also a total barrel of laughs. No annoying straight guys or uptight Christians to damper the mood. =) Not that I don't love straight guys and Christians...but it's nice to be able to drink a ton of wine, swear, and act inappropriately. =)
I can't remember if I mentioned yet that we totally rearranged the living room. It's awesome. I still can't get over it. I don't know much about feng shui, but I can say with certainty that the energy in here is MUCH better.
Shane has been applying for jobs at animal type places...like Pet Zoo, the ASPCA, etc. He also went over to the AK Fish and Game office (which is very close to where we live) and met a bunch of the people there. They will be hiring in January, so hopefully that will work out in his favor.
Yesterday, we made rainbow snowmen. Shane made dye with frozen spinach, magic markers, Listerine, and Chloraseptic spray. Lulz. They are right outside the window. Too cute.
I'm a little bit worried about Serey's fur thinning. This lady at PetZoo said she thinks it might be caused by hypothyroid. I bought her a hot pink harness which, I hope, will help cut down the rubbing on the chest area where her fur is thinning a lot. Poor snuggle puggle.
I had to get the CV joints fixed on the Subaru, and that set me back $380. Eek. Now I'm officially on a budget...after brunch, that is. ;)
