I had an interview at the Voyager Hotel today for their night audit position. I think it went fairly well, considering I've never worked in a hotel before. It's an independent hotel, but they're owned by one of the Native corporations, so they have REALLY good benefits that kick in from day one. Obviously, the only downside would be the hours. It wouldn't be so bad for the summer, but once classes start, it will be hell. Here's what my class schedule will look like:
Monday: Sight Singing/Ear Training 10:00am
University Singers 4:00pm
Tuesday: Music Theory 10:00am
Opera Ensemble 4:00pm
Wednesday: Sight Singing/Ear Training 10:00am
University Singers 4:00pm
Thursday: Music Theory 10:00am
Friday: Voice Master Class 11:00am
...and I will also have private voice lessons once a week for an hour. I'm not sure where I'll put that yet.
Anyway, combine that with the night audit hours (10:30pm - 7:00am), and you'll have ZOMBIE WAYLON.
I'm hitting up the open interview at the Glacier Brewhouse tomorrow afternoon. They need hosts. Not too exciting, but the hours would be good.
Tomorrow morning, Emily is coming over and we're going to go through a bunch of Dad's stuff - clear out his closets and dressers and such, and see what we can donate. We also need to start getting all of his stuff appraised.
MADNESS!
