Hey, this is more important than work

Ew, ew, ew.

So remember this entry, in which I mention once or twice that I have a date the following night? The date that I don't think I updated on, but was cut short by a desperate text message to Jason to call me so that I would have an excuse to leave (because if I want to be felt up by a stranger, at least I can watch a good movie while doing it)? Well, I just found out that the guy was convicted of attempted rape in 2003.

EW.

Just goes to show you that googling people is not enough. There is too much shit on the web to dig through. You have to actually go to the sex offender registry. And I will officially never go on a blind date again.

How sad.

And EW.

So anyway, while perusing the sex offender registry for Athens-Clarke county, I happened upon my next door neighbor, the guy we share a duplex with. Well isn't that just lovely. Here is the short news article that was published about him:
Athens-Clarke police charged a Saymore Drive man with sexual battery after investigating an incident at a Danielsville Road residence. According to a police report, the 13-year-old victim said the man, whom she knows only by his first name, forced her into a bathroom Monday and tried to pull her pants down.
The man, whom police identified as Walkyrie Framont Howard, 20, of 17 Saymore Drive left the house and drove away when a family member pulled into the home's driveway. After getting Howard's description, police picked him up and brought him back to the victim's home, where she identified him, police said.
