title // five times liebgott turned webster down, and one time he let him in
author //
teapirate rating // hard r (violence and nonexplicit sex)
word count // 6700
summary // AU / 5x fic, in which Liebgott is a volatile, homophobic cabbie, Webster is a volatile, lovesick college student, and neither man goes to war.
disclaimer // this is one hundred percent based on the HBO mini series Band of Brothers' characters David Webster and Joseph Liebgott. I mean no offense to the real David K. Webster and Joseph D. Liebgott.
author's note // this is my first venture into band of brothers fandom; i started this fic months and months ago and after re-watching the series I couldn't help but finish it. Also,
this is the poem Webster recites in the fic ("Danse Russe" by William Carlos Williams). Also note that in the story, David has a sister...this is completely based on my own imagining of the character for the purpose of this story; I have no idea if he had a sister in real life (I tried to look it up but I couldn't find anything) and I mean no offense to the real David Webster. Also all the details about Harvard are completely made up, as I have never been to Harvard nor do I know anything about it. I also feel obligated to warn that this fic contains a seriously obscene amount of angst, and an overkill of character study. Feedback appreciated; I sincerely hope I've done the boys justice.
