Oh boy oh boy, road trips ahoy!  This past weekend found us in Atlanta.  We actually left Friday once I got off work for Auburn.  After a ridiculous quest for Kentucky Fried Chicken-- not the wises decision we ever did make, but dammit we had a gift card!-- we arrived at Tyler's.  We watched some Nick Swardson stand-up before getting to bed, then up bright and early for our trip to Georgia!  We got to Jennifer's, where we said hello to her and Jennifer R. before beginning our adventuring!

Let's see, what did that entail?  First, if memory serves me, we found the Varsity for lunch, where we grabbed a hot dog and hamburger and onion rings.  It was suggested we get a milkshake-- chocolate, specifically-- but we declined.  Let's see, after that we went to Centennial Park, I think, where we wondered a bit and contemplated the tiny perfectly aligned holes in the grass and watched a bit of a water show.  Then the Aquarium!  It really was magnificent.  I think my favorite was the very beginning, when we watched the giant stingrays and whale sharks and the dozens of oh-so-bright fish.  We did go on to see other things, though, including otters (Samii's favorite).  The freshwater ones were being sleepy little critters, but the big ones (which I hadn't seen before) were awfully playful.  We also went on an underground crawling adventure in order to pop up like meerkats in the middle of a penguin habitat.

We then wandered around the city, argued about parking, passed by the Fox Theatre (knowing Mumford and Sons would be there the next day!), and eventually stumbled upon an amazing little Italian place with delicious pasta and fantastic tiramisu.  And after that, tired and full, we decided to accidentally take 97 hours to get back to Jennifer's.  She and the others were headed to a local bar, and Samii and I crashed pretty much immediately.

Saturday we got up bright and early(ish) and ate left over pasta and then it was time for Six Flags!  We got super punked by the guy taking up tickets, then tangoed our way into the park with a picture taking guy, and then roller coasters galore!  It was hot as blazes and we both got sunburned, but I'd say it was worth it.  The lines weren't long for the most part, though, so we got to ride just about everything we wanted to.  We had a SNAFU at the end when I lost my keys, but it didn't take to awfully long to find them.

And then we picked up Tyler, and then we dropped him off in Auburn, and then, late late, we arrived back here in Destin, safe and sound once again. :)
