2012 To-do List
I have stolen this idea from cherie_morte (you wonderful ficcer, you) and this is kinda my way to kick my ass into gear for all the commitments I've made this year. ARGH. Thank god the deadlines are one after the other instead of all over the place because then I'd be freaking out a lot more. This list will be expanded as I continue to (inexplicably) sign up for more challenges, 'cause you know what? That's just how I roll. Write. Yeah.
So, now, in the order I signed up:
1. spn_j2_bigbang - Sam-centric second-person future!fic. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking either. Due out by June 6, thereabouts.
2. podficbigbang - Only Sweeter by rivkat, due out by June. I'm having such an angst-fest recording this. *shiveries*
3. novel_bigbang - 20K minimum. Yeah, no telling about where this one might go, especially since the final draft isn't due until the end of July. I HAVE SPN BIG BANG CHALLENGES TO FINISH. D:
4. dark_fest - Dark!Post-Hell!Dean short story. This'll be out soon, no telling when, (the deadline's the 30th of March, though) but surprisingly, I've got the most written for this one. I really, really should be working on my Big Bangs. I really, really should.
5. fantasybigbang - 10K minimum: Dragon J2 AU, or maybe Fairytale J2 AU. Not enough of those, and I can't get over them, so there you go.
6. sncross_bigbang - 15K minimum: Oh, the possibilities! SPN/His Dark Materials, SPN/X-Men, SPN/The Dragonriders of Pern, SPN/Inheritance Cycle, SPN/Heroes, SPN/Lost...Due to be done by about April, if I get my bunnies in order. *determined face* ETA: SPN/Stardust, folks! It's underway. :D
7. originalbigbang - 10K, reversebang to touch up on my writing skills. I really should not just be writing fanfic. *facepalm*
8. pre_post_spnbb - 5K of gen or preslash (of the Sam/Dean variety) due by June 18. :)
Here, I have all the fic bunnies I might--might finish by year's end. I'm just putting them in line here because they're either too long to be a Big Bang or just too deformed.
1. His Dark Materials/SPN J2 RPF X-over - I'm going to be working on this sporadically for the next year or so, but the premise itself is kind of enormous, so there's no telling what'll happen to it. I really hope I can get it done, though.
2. Castiel travel-fic - During his search for God, Castiel comes across some interesting people. (from the spn_summergen Fall Free-for-all) This is proving very, very, very difficult to write. Castiel, you and your deep, philosophical thoughts about the human condition...*snarls*
3. My Dinner with Yahweh - A conversation between old comrades in arms, God and Death, set in the confines of a humble diner. The dinner tete-a-tete includes a discussion of divinity, the nature of the soul, and those pesky Winchester brothers (who may or may not appear in person). Also from the spn_summergen Fall Free-for-all, where I clearly like to steal prompts from.
4. When God Lets my Body Be - Years later, Castiel sets Jimmy free. Okay, this is the last spn_summergen prompt, I promise. You notice that most of them are Castiel-centric? It's really weird because I normally don't read Castiel-fic AT ALL (huh? Oh, yeah, Destiel fangirls are kinda rabid--but then so are Wincest fangirls...okay. You know what? J2 RPF FTW). Still, I'd like to try my hand at Castiel gen. Who knows? It might even turn out okay.
5. We're All Going Down (Goin' Down) - SPN/Good Omens crossover. The Winchesters find out that they’re not the only people attempting to thwart the Judeo-Christian Apocalypse. Enter Aziraphale and-wait, you know Crowley? My first go at crack!fic. I don't even know if I can do it justice, but here's hoping that I might be able to make it turn out as something Gaiman and Pratchett won't scoff at.
