I've been here in New York since Saturday. I am pretty much settled in but I am kind of nervous about starting my internships (the first of which I start tomorrow), though I am not really sure why. They will be fine. I am mostly nervous about riding the subway, which is weird because I have done it a million times already and I know how to get everywhere I need to go. I have been reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close since I've been here and it is really amazing. Is it lame that I cry almost everytime I read a good amount of it? Eh. Who knows.



For the next few months expect this journal to be a chronicle of Carissa vs. New York City.
