Hey, if when we meet next year yuo can have a go on one of my bass guitars if you want - mew and friends keep trying to get band together so if you wanted to come down sometime and play something or just play about and have a laugh...well, that'd be cool anyway....just trying to think of stuff to show you if/when you visit this crumby city ;-)

Dude. That sounds awesome. My dad's a jazz bassist, so I grew up with the instrument - and a while ago he gave me a pitch black Jack Hohner... I'm bloody itching to play it but I just can't seem to get round to it! *frustration* What bass guitar do you have? Also, what music are you lads looking at making?

Eitherway, it sounds like fun. *g*

If you could show me around the city that would be awesome. I'm especially looking for photograph material because this trip is my secret mission to build up my photog portfolio.
But from what I've read and heard about Edinburgh, I'm going to love it. :)

*secretly very excited*

Wel, I've go a few...an Aria Pro ZZb Deluxe, DeVille, K Bass, Artisdan Semi-Acoustic, Jackson half-size. My Westonne andnStonney Basses are on loan. I've also got a couple of guitars but i suck at playing them. Drums are really my thing but I love jumping around with a bass, hehe.

We normally play different styles of rock - mainly rock but other sounds creep in.

And as for phptograph materials - I'm not sure, but i think I know of a couple of art shop that would be good for ya. Dunno though, we'll see I suppose.

I' thinking it's gonna be cool to meet with you causae you'd be the first person I'd ever meet from LJ - I've got a list of people that I'd lik to meet one day, but, well you know...

:-)

Sounds great! I've been itching to try out bass seriously for a while now - I know the basics, but I still think the experience you need comes from jamming with other musicians. So if you guys can put up with me playing crap for the first month or two, it could turn out to be quite fun. :) Rock is good. *grin*

Also, landmarks, places etc. that would make for interesting photographs. But I'm sure Edinburghs full of them in any case. :)

It will be awesome - the only two people I know on livejournal I have met before we started journalling. So yea - I'm actually quite looking forward to it. Handy though, to have something like this. The moment you know you're moving to another country, you make a post in the relevant community and meet loads of people before you even get there... :D

"first month or two" - Wow, I actually just assumed you were visiting for a weekend or even a week...how long you reckon you'll be aroud here for?

And I reckon your bass playing isn't half as bad as you say - mine is pretty clumsy too so it should be cool. I'ma drummer by heart and everything else is through tuition :-/ Self teaching though, so yay for that!

And, yeah, there are loads of things you'll probably be quite fascinated by when you look at it - just old buildings, architecture, scenery, etc. We've got a castle too, hehe - visitors always seem to be impressed by that...so, yeah.

I agree that having access to LJ can greatly increase your outlook on things - it's amazing how it can get you in touch with people that you would never would have had a chance to meet otherwise.

*grin* Anything from 6 months to 2 years. So you're going to have to put up with me for a bit longer than you thought.... :D
