I've got the girlie with the best behind.
Today was a day off. It was pretty good. I woke up early this morning to go skating with Joe and Nan at the skatepark. We did just that. It felt really nice outside, so we stayed for a while. I fell on my elbow lots of times. That sucked.
Then after that, we were supposed to practice at noon. We attempted to contact Mike...He didn't answer, so we left a voice mail, and tried back a few more times. He never answered his phone. So around 12:30, we called his house phone. His mom said he had just left with Carl. We called Carl to talk to Mike. The conversation went something like this.
Joe: Hey man. Are we practicing?
Mike: What time are we supposed to?
Joe: Noon-ish.
Mike: What time is it?
Joe: 12:30
Mike: Why didn't you guys call me?
Joe: We did. You didn't answer.
Mike: Why didn't you leave a voice mail?
Joe: We did.
Mike: Oh. My phone is at Carl's.
Joe: So are we just practicing when you're done with Church?
Mike: Yeah. That's cool.
So I went to Maddy's until she had to go to work. Then she took me home and I waited for Joe to come get me. He comes around 6:30. He had talked to Mike right before that. Mike said he would call back in a few minutes. He never called back. When he finally called back about a half an hour later, Joe didn't have time to answer. So Joe calls Mike's house back, and "he just left in a grey car for Gary's house" is what we got out his mom. Weird. He never showed up at my house. So practice got fucked for today, and I don't know the songs for the show tomorrow.
We're supposed to practice tomorrow without Joe, just so I can learn the songs, but Joe's the only one in the band who drives, so I have no way over. Meaning they're gonna want me to play this show without knowing the songs. I'm not too excited about looking like an ass up there for a band I'm not even in. I'm kinda pissed about this. I was down with playing this since we had 3 practices lined up for me WAY before today or tomorrow. Only one of those practices has gone according to plan. I don't know the songs, and if I don't get a chance to learn them before the show tomorrow, I don't think I'll be playing. How ya like them apples?
Anyhow, after we found out Mike was ditching out again, we decided to go to the skatepark for a while longer. I fell on my elbow again and it sucked again. Then we left there once it got dark. They took me to CEC where I stole Maddy's car and bought mashed potatoes, gas for her car, and lottery tickets. Then I waited for her to get off. When she got off, we ate some food. Then we played some games. Then as we were leaving, the kids after us in assassins were outside, so I ran back inside. I got away cleanly, but I won't say how. I don't know how many more times I'll have to pull that one off.
Then we drove around for a bit, and on the way back towards my house, we saw one of the people we were after. Actually, we saw his car. It was outside of a house, so we sat outside of the house in the car hoping he would come out...He never did, so Maddy brought me home. Now I'm online and talking to my Madaline. She rocks. I love her lots.
