30 days of music - day 6: A song that reminds of you of somewhere
I've been having a hard time coming up with a song for day 6. I suppose that maybe I don't easily connect songs to places. Anyway, when I was...13... I think, I bought The Science of Things, that 1999 record by Bush, with 'The Chemicals Between Us,' etc. The album was in my DiscMan, and my alarm clock, which had a CD option, basically 24/7 for over a year. So, I woke up with the opening track for over a year. It sort of reminds me of home, and teenage years, when I thought Bush was an awesome band. It's ridiculous, but oh, long lost childhood, where have you gone?

YAY for the Dutch soccer football (sorry U.S., but the Europeans invented football) team! I'm really nervous, but also excited for Friday, when we play against Brazil, although... I'm not sure. The Orange Team hasn't exactly been shining, they barely made it to the next round, although I think overall they played well. Lots of possibilities of scoring, just didn't use them. So, I've been watching these late night football talkshows starring the variety idiots that Dutch sports television has to offer, who believe that what they analyze, is close to scientific analyses of, well, chemicals? Darn, they're so annoying, and the entire show, they really only talk about maybe two things. For an hour. The scientist that I ACTUALLY am, that's what I noticed yesterday. They have their ways of trying to make it sound like it's a fresh subject, but all they really want to talk about is the use video footage, the FIFA peoples who decide sports should equal romance, and England's goal that was DEFINITELY in, and Argentina's goal that was DEFINITELY out, this Sunday. I'm with you, Englishmen, I was there to support you. Like, for one hour straight, they talked about it, and they kept on repeating themselves. People who watch this and think, "yeah, what these guys are saying is so true" must really be idiots. Well, I watch it, but I'm not exactly the kind of people they're aiming for as an audience.
