Day 4 of 30 days of music A song that makes you sad
So yesterday I wrote about a song that makes me happy; there's lots. Songs that make me sad, well, I'd have to think back to angsty teen periods when I could cry to every Counting Crows song (at least, the sad ones). I was very depressed (in the teenage kind of way) when I was about 14/15, oh my. But no longer do these songs make me sad. I suppose, since I'm mostly happy these days, songs don't really make me sad anymore. At least, not in the way that you listen to songs and feel like all the lyrics apply to your life.
Last time I was depressed (over love, especially) I listened to a lot of Cat Power. I still really love her music. I think Song to Bobby still is beautiful and very sad. Those lyrics, shiiit, and Cat Power's anguished voice, incredible :-|
Well, this is a crappy video, it doesn't really do it justice, but there's only boring vids on YouTube, but, well, she's amazing live. I wanna see her again. Looove Cat Powerrr ♥
