Merry Christmas!
Yay, it's Christmas Eve!
I got up at about 9:00 this morning to start making rolls for Christmas Eve dinner at my grandma's house. Now I'm waiting for my sister to finish her cookies, so I can put the rolls in the oven. :]
I love Christmastime. It makes me feel so old-fashioned and happy...I don't know why. It's just cool like that.
Last night was the Bare Bottom Madness/Imago/Unofficial Christmas Concert at the Village Hall. I finally got my dad to agree to let me go. :]
Ben plays bass in Bare Bottom Madness...they were amazing...he was amazing. They played House of the Rising Sun...as I was watching him play, I was so proud of him I almost couldn't stand it. <3
I'm going to remember that moment for the rest of my life.
Between bands, Dom (one of the homeschooled kids who I sometimes talk to through myspace) came over to me and asked me if he could touch my dreads. It made me laugh, because that's the first actual in-person conversation we've had.
I saw Isabel there too, and Rowan, and a whole bunch of other people.
Unofficial was the last band to play. They were alright I guess...except for the fact that I dislike their music and their singer bothers me greatly...but it was still fun...because Ben and I were just standing there watching together, and just being with him was enough to block out the crappy mainstream music. :]
I was really sad when it was over and we had to leave. My sister got kind of annoyed with me, because she told me we were leaving and that I should meet her outside...I did, but just about five minutes later. So we were almost late getting home, but not quite.
Anyway, last night pretty much made my Christmas...even if the rest of break sucks, last night was worth it to me.
