So I was walking home today, and it was really nice.
Because my street can be pretty picturesque when it wants to be.
And it was cold out.
And the air smelled outrageously clean.
I'm a sucker for clean air.
I walked really slowly.
Actually, I shuffled because my shoes are too big for me and they rub against the backs of my feet and that hurts.
And I was looking around.
And I got so happy.
Because someone on my block has a fireplace and they lit a fire and that is the best smell in the world.
Especially on a day like today.
And there was not a person in sight.
And there wasn't a car in sight.
It was just me and the clean air and my unfounded happiness.
Because there really wasn't a reason to be happy.
Maybe to be content.
But I was really really happy.
And to be happy without the aid of another person is really great.
Because you can just walk down the street, smelling the air and shuffling your feet and smiling to yourself without anyone messing it up.
