So, I've decided my life lesson for the day is patience! On my way to school every car I was behind went a solid 15-20 mph under the speed limit. Then, I got stuck behind a tractor for a bit (which as you can imagine is heinously slow). Also, I got quite impatient in class as well and I had to remind myself to take a breather! Also, I've been having computer issues where I've been on the phone/chat with dell support- so that's been a lesson in patience as well. I then found out the Eli Stone episode was named "Patience" and thought- kinda ironic. Eli Stone is one of those shows where the lawyer in me freaks out but I like that it's light/fluffy. I super liked the end of tonight's episode- assuming it's the 'real' future it was quite spoilery.
Also, interesting to note, I gave a prof grief the other day for being a law nerd when watching movies/being nit picky at Synagogue about things and I guess I'm the me (ala my Eli Stone rants). I pretty much called her a very sarcastic 'delightful movie/event companion.' Though, I think most lawyers/students cannot watch law and order or other legal shows without freaking out about the inconsistencies (it's our nature). So I don't sound like a complete jerk, haha, some friends and I were asking a question after class which lead to random stories/us staying for a solid 30 mins or so after class chatting it up (though I tried to inch away/leave).
On a tv note, 30 rock and the Office were finally new tonight (talk about having to be patient)! The Office was amazing because it made you so uncomfortable to watch it (Jan/Michael are dysfunctional to the max- but I hope at some point those crazy kids work it out because how else is she going to be on the show!). I loved 30 rock as well and the MILF island tie ins- they were heavy handed at times, like Pete's storyline, and clever at others. I really thought the best part of this episode was the Jack/Liz dynamic with Jack 'playing' Liz all along and the reason he knew it was Liz. Also, the Survivor geek in me loved all the Survivor esque shout outs.
Also, since it's teacher eval times at law school, my question for the day is what is the worst thing you've ever written on an evaluation?
Second, since I'm needing to work on patience, what trait of your own do you most want to work on/have been working on this week so far?
Lastly, I lock some posts etc. Do people read those as well?
