Tigers On Vasoline recorded on Thursday. I think we were all super-pleased with what we got done.
On Friday we woke up and Dustin rode with me to Waco and I dropped him off at the greyhound station. Then I stopped by and saw Andrew, went to the mall for a bit and saw Lindz and Heather. Then I went home and had a nice meal with my mother, then Russ and I practiced and fell asleep. Then next day we got up early, set everything up for the show, and had a good time. I hung out with Joe Jitsu a lot, and saw a lot of people I haven't seen for a long while. I went to Anna's party afterwards with Russ, then he took me home. The next morning I was supposed to grab a burrito with Emily, but that didn't happen. I sat around and talked to my mom, ate lunch with her along with my aunt and uncle and some of my cousins. The I came back to denton.
I hung out outside of Bruce Hall for a while, then met up with Andrew, grabbed some records and a turntable, and along with Patricia helped him celebrate his tradition of cooking chili every Halloween. Eventually Nikki joined in on the fun. We had a good time, and listened to one of Andrew's grandma's 78s, D4 "this shit is genius", a Breakfast LP, and Descendents "somery". It was a lot of fun. After we cleaned up and everyone left, he and I went on a bike ride. We tried climbing to a rooftop, but it was too wet. Then we biked down a massive hill, and it started pouring rain. Luckily we were right by a gas station with a covered area. We stood there for two hours with no let up in the rain. We made a few phone calls to people who were unable to give us rides, failed to flag down any cars, then my phone died. So then we dashed over to the police station a block and a half away and tried to get help, to no avail. We then ran back to our bikes, finally got my phone to work after about 45 more minutes, called Stephanie, who came and got us in her car and took us to my truck, which we drove to our bikes, picked them up, went back, unloaded them, and went to sleep.
Life is really fun. I'm writing a zine now, it should be done soon.
Sorry this post was so massive.
