To you it's kind of small, to me it's like a prison

It's been a while. Obviously. The summer has come and gone for most, while mine extends through the fall. In many ways this summer was a whole lot of nothingness. Things that were supposed to be figured out have been cast aside for no good reason other than exhaustion mixed brilliantly with denial of future. The more I think about the future, the more lost I become. When you realize you aren't good enough for the future you had planned, it more or less makes you sick to your stomach. Do I sound like a whiny college student or what.

So on to better things...
This past month was pretty wonderful. I made my first trip to St. John in the Virgin Islands with Adam. I was definitely swept away by the beauty of it. And in turn, the mosquitos were swept away by me...50+ times that is. The amount of tranquility you can feel standing in the ocean there is just unparalleled. We stayed most nights in a house on top of a mountain, but one night we spent in this amazing mansion on the side of a mountain, overlooking the ocean. Of course, the night we stayed there a big storm hit and the power went out, scaring me quite a bit.
I'll just share one picture, taken on top of a hill there, to show how beautiful the island is.

The day after we got back from St. John, we drove up to Minneapolis for The Academy is show at this mall there. It was pretty insane, bodyguard escorts that looked like forest rangers. But the next day we headed for the Wisconsin Dells. We went to this animal park which was adorable. I got to pet a baby kangaroo and feed a giraffe. The photo is pretty precious. The next day we went to this amusement park with an amazing rollercoaster, waterslides, go carts. I love the Dells.

Last monday was my last day of fun before going back to work so Adam and I took Noah, Bailey and cassy to Chuck E Cheese. Definitely a fun time for all. Now I am back to the monotony that is my job at United. Most likely I only have 2 and a half more weeks there. And after that, who knows...Florida...London...try and figure out something to get me into grad school. Anyway, just wanted to throw a quick update up because i know i have been near impossible to get a hold of this past month. But hopefully when i'm done suffering everday at work, I will be back in the world...

Sidenote: In other fantastic news, Adam finally got a haircut!!
