[It is December 23rd/24th! And of course someone needs to knock the holidays into Lelouch since he is usually silent.

AT SCHOOL: Lelouch has oddly been avoiding everyone. Even the Student Council. You can find him on the school roof sitting in the snow. He has a scarf and his hobo hat on.

AT THE BASE: Lelouch has somehow managed to lock himself

[Somehow she knew where the hell he'd be.]

You people have got to stop sitting in the snow. What am I going to do with you?

[yourmindseye]

[He doesn't answer except for a vague nod.]

[danse_magique]

[A pause, and she adjusts her coat so that she can sit next to him without literally freezing her ass off, pulling on her scarf. It's pink; Touta's scowling somewhere.]

Something's wrong.

[yourmindseye]

[Of course he is. He gives Takeba a cow about it too in AMS!Canon.

Again, he doesn't answer. His gaze remains on the snow with one hand with it's palm up laying beside him, the other on his knee.]

[danse_magique]

[At least the coat is tan.

She reaches out and takes the hand that's in the snow, if nothing else but to keep him from getting frostbite or something.]

[yourmindseye]

[He doesn't move for a moment, but eventually his fingers curl around hers. His hand is very cold - he must have been up here for some time.]

[She sighs a little, putting her hand on the other side of his so it'll warm up.]

[yourmindseye]

[Lelouch doesn't move, but his eyes have shifted to look at her again. He uncurls and curls his fingers a few times in her hands.]

[danse_magique]

If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to. But you'll freeze, out here for so long.

[yourmindseye]

[Lelouch closes his eyes and grips her hand tightly for a moment.]

[danse_magique]

[She squeezes back, just a little, because she doesn't want to hurt his hand because it's so cold.]

[yourmindseye]

[His head tilts back and hits the fence behind him, making it shake and clang a little. The snow falls off the fence behind him and in front of the two but he doesn't even react to the sudden cold snow.]

[danse_magique]

[She brushes away what snow she can, being fairly patient. Hey, it's Christmas.]

[yourmindseye]

[Lelouch doesn't even know what day it is. He didn't even know that it was break, as Paru had told him earlier. He isn't sure how he wants to say what is on his mind - or if he even wants to say it at all. How would anyone understand what it feels like to know who you are is slipping away?

He knows that people are worried about him. Though part of him muses about which people are worried for him.]

[danse_magique]

[She's worried, but she knows better than to expect him to say something he really doesn't want to. She doesn't have anywhere else to be, anyway, just yet.]

It'll be dark soon, you know.

[yourmindseye]

[Without answering in words, Lelouch gets to his feet. His legs are stiff so he uses the fence with his free hand to balance his weight until the blood returns to both his legs.]
