Sleeping friends are everywhere

Unexpected and akward
Did I spell that right?

I have a monkey.
He's a ninja that climbs poles.
"Come down or you'll starve!"

Two peanuts walking
on the sidewalk in downtown.
One was a'salt'ed.

My haikus seem lame.
They're more entertaining now
than my sleeping friends.

Need to go to bed.
More awake than I should be.
Alarm set for nine.
