I look like that Mourning Dove on Thanks Giving! :-) I really like the blue jay photo, it's interesting. I'm back in Borger TX with no snow or any real weather. Actually not much of anything here besides factories.
Aside from being rudely awakened from sleep how was your Christmas?
I have a TomTom gps and it drives me crazy with leaving me in the middle of a street saying my destination is right here, when really, I'm just in the middle of a road. Also- it takes me hours out of my way, and Google Maps has given me short cuts. So weird. I do not recommend it.
I hope your New Year will be fabulous!

Hee! I know, I looked much like that dove while camped out in front of the TV on Christmas Eve. The Jay one just looked unusual, I kind of liked it too.

Heh, yeah I desperately wanted to go back to sleep but I would swear that blower was parked in front of my window twice. It's loud anyway but on a silent snow covered morning it sounded like the lawn mower from hell. I actually spent Christmas doing laundry and trying out stuff on Netflix, a good combo.

I think if I did a lot of driving to unknown places (say for work) a GPS might be worth buying as it would save a lot of research time. But for my occasional trips, yeah, nothing beats the personal eye.

Best wishes for yours as well!

Ooh, but that's a cool picture of the bluejay's tail anyway.

Pity I didn't aim it just a hair to the left!

Love the photo of the dove.

It's been snowing on the mountain ranges in a few states in Australia also, but mostly it's flooding. It is the coolest December on record.

Lucky you know your town so well, it would not have been nice to be out any longer than necessary.

Fortunately I can say that these past two days have not been so bad. I was well bundled both days and yesterday was actually sweating by the time I got to the stop, no doubt due to the unexpected exertion. I dressed more lightly today since it was both warmer and I knew I would do ok with less. Thankfully we had very little wind which is what's really unbearable.

While it's been very chilly here they are now talking about 40+ degrees and rain for New Year's Eve.

Weird I tell you, weird.

For Michigan, 40+ weather in winter is the definition of weird ::nods::
