Itachi, dressed warmly, has started a small campfire to the side of community building two. There, one can find the ninja cooking... sweet potatoes? And slow roasted tomatoes

[ Here, behind that corner! He wasn't that close to the building (not exactly), but since their conversation a... week ago(ish), Sasuke has been trying to decide whether or not to confront Itachi. It never seemed like a good time, and whenever he got even remotely close to Itachi he remembered the way his brother had just up and left him.
So... yeah. Tonight is just another night where Sasuke decides "maybe today" and goes off in search of Itachi. This time, unfortunately for someone, he actually comes across his bro though.
[ He catches it! It's a little hot even with the napkin so he won't be eating it right away. He... also feels the need to check it for poison, if only because it's hard to go against his training.
His brother has already "tried" to kill him once, after all. Nevermindthatthatwasacovershhhh. Also, yay, tomatoes. ] ... good. [ Yes, that's... all he can say in response. Thinking things through, Sasuke does it. ]
[Itachi seems to have done a fair amount of cooking, but very little actual eating. He picks out a sweet potato for himself now, using a flat bit of wood for a makeshift plate.
[ Sasuke is... not content with this silence. He didn't come here to dodge Itachi, he came here to confront him (... didn't he? If he hadn't seen Itachi, he would've turned back-that was like dodging him, in a way). It didn't feel right that he was the only one trying here; Itachi should've been the one to try.
Except, if he left it up to his brother nothing would ever be resolved. Itachi was content to leave things as they were and ignore everything, or so it seemed. Sasuke... well, Sasuke wasn't sure what he wanted from all this. He didn't necessarily want a brother, and he didn't necessarily want Itachi's approval either.
Maybe all he wanted was for this feeling to go away. Ever since Itachi left him that day, he'd been angry; frustrated. But not in the usual way, it was far more... subdued than that. It almost felt like he was ashamed. Yet that couldn't be it, 'cause he had no reason to be ashamed. He didn't need to be the one feeling that way here either. He was doing what was right. Maybe that "right thing" wasn't what

I may be something of a hypocrite, and maybe I have no right to say this, but if your return to our world means you will attempt to destroy everything I tried to protect, then I will do my best to see to it you don't return.
[ So he is! ... and did Itachi just imply- no. That's definitely not it.
Is it? Itachi wouldn't say something like that, he must be reading into that statement wrong; he refuses to jump to conclusions right now. ] You think you can control something like that? Okay, so tell me: how do you plan on stopping me?

However it's too late, he's already here. He might as well keep going now. ] And you expected me to listen to you?

[He reaches over, picking up one of the cooked tomatoes and wrapping it in a paper napkin before tossing it toward Sasuke.]

And now you're not even going to try to defend yourself. [ He didn't expect Itachi to anyway. ]
