"don't believe me"

So Ranjan and Holly both flew off on the same night, on Monday.  Ranjan, overseas.  That's really a new one.  Sigh.

I've been up to my nostrils with projects this week; it felt good to have cleared what I needed to clear today.  It felt awesome, too, to have been taken off probation and confirmed as part of the company.  My boss asked me what I want to have written on my namecard.  I said I want it to read, "Supreme Chancellor Of The Death Star".

Green Day has officially been the best concert I have ever been to.  The Killers cancelled, the wankers, so the next one for me to look forward to is Tears For Fears.  "Shout, Shout, let it all out!"

This Sunday is going to be the first Valentine's Day I've ever experienced as a non-single.  It's also the first day of Chinese New Year.  It's also the birthday of a bunch of people.  But it really really feels like just a Sunday to me.

The other day, I realised the only name on the Baybeats audition list I recognise is Echo Oh Oh Oh, and that's only because I have some of its members on my Facebook friends list and they added me to their group.  Another day, I also realised my kid brother and many other people born in the kiddy years of the early 90s will hit 18-hood this year.  I feel old, old, and way too out of touch with local music.

For some reason, the songs stuck in my head lately comprise an extremely odd mix, which looks something like this:
Boys Like Girls - The Great Escape
Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown
Katy Perry - Hot'N'Cold
Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People
Taylor Swift - Love Story
