Letter from the President...

May 13, 2005 21:34

Congratulations Class of 2005!

Today marks a new beginning.

Before you leave the University today, I hope you will take a final look at where you are right now. And, as you do: May the beauty of the campus remind you that you can always find beauty in life-if you look for it.

May the values you've been taught at the University of Miami remind you that what is important is not how we make a living-but how we make a life.

May you have the courage and the integrity to always tell the truth. May you have big dreams and pursue them with passion.

May you have an exciting, adventurous life full of good health and great success. And, most of all, as you make your journey through the world, may you never lose your appreciation for the magic, the mystery and the marvel of life.

Don't forget your alma mater-keep in touch

Warm Regards.

Sincerely,

Donna E. Shalala

As I sat there watching my classmates walk across the stage I couldn't help but remember my first class as an MBEI major at UM...we went around the class introducing ourselves and talking about what we wanted to do when we graduated...we've been through a lot together since then...and we've changed so much...all of us for the better.

Here's a big thankyou to everyone I've ever met for existing...you've helped shape me as a person...and hopefully I make some sort of contribution to this world...

:)...it's been a long crazy ride UM...peace out
