last night was a biggg dinner night, with lots of guests. the six of us were here, and each had a part in the making of the dinner, alexis with the salmon and rice, erica with her wasabe and ginger sause, bridget made her specialty: applecrisp, amy and i had an appetizer of tomatoes and mozzerella, and rachael made a few appetizers as well, olives, carrots, and a tangerine bowl that i almost ate all by myselfff.
this apartment usnt huge, but its very welcoming, which is what i really like about it. there was a kids table, due to the fact that there were 12 of us, but that was fine. anyway, the whole process of making the food, and talking to some people i dont normally see was pretty great.
today we went to the Rathaus instead of having normal class. its actually not the original building, but have made this one into the Rathaus due it its significant size. it was pretty gothic with was cool, and lots of stained glass windows, high ceilings obvvv and no baroque??!??! weird i know, but it was still really cool. afterwards we went to a coffeeshop and i had a hot choco and a grilled cheese, so american of me but hey, it was on the menu. we got our tests back....another C....sweet, but thats the norm now and ill just have to deal with it, or study more...but i study a lot so i would rather not get too worked up about it.
tonight we are going to see a movie, and maybe cook for drew and texas...assuming that drew will still be here tongiht since hes planning on leaving, once he can get a doctor to say that he's depressed enough to go. that kind of sucks since hes one of the few that we see on a regular basis, but if hes completely unhappy then he should probably go.
dublin for our week break maybe, but right now its looking kind of expensive..over 300 dollars for the plane ticket alone. that doesnt seem like a deal, and we're probably only going for four days. we might do a two-stop vacation: vienna to dublin, dublin to paris, and paris back to vienna for 400 dollars, but we would have to play about 100 for the cheapest hostel in paris. yuckkk traveling isnt going to be as easy as i thought. but as long as i get out to belgium, germany, florence and greece then my life will be complete!
this is the earlies amy and i have been home in a long time...theres always things to do after school, and usually we get looadds of homework too, but since we went tothe rathaus, theres no so much homework. i have to give a presentation on monday over the jewish vienna. obvi i picked that topic....
