What separates me from Wawel Castle is the following:
1 window, 1 sidewalk, 1 4-lane street,
1 long patch of grass, mayybe 2 football fields worth.
On Sunday they will bury the former presidential couple at the Castle
which was historically reserved for kings and uber-special people.
The security surrounding this event will be... insane.
I wonder if we will be able to leave the house... if we are able to get out
then we surely won't be able to move far as the sidewalk will likely be
packed with people. We were thinking of going on the roof, but who knows,
there may be snipers up there....
This will either be the safest place on the planet... or quite the opposite.
Presidents Obama, Sarkozy, Koehler, Miedwiediew, Janukowycz and dozens of other
leaders including Angela Merkel, Prince Charles, Zapatero, Yushenko, Tymoshenko,
Princes and Kings and ambassadors from South Korea to India to Canada
will all be in one place... Hopefully our little city can handle all this with grace.
