Can't help but wait.
Well, I’ve got to say that this week has been the ultimate test of my sanity. Mostly it’s been my fault but I think I use the stress to my advantage. I haven’t really had much time to do the things that I normally do due to my first speech being done on Tuesday. I guess I’ll talk about that first since I really did take a lot from the experience. I’m actually taking Public Speaking online as one of the last two classes in my curriculum along with Accounting. I had the option of simply recording my speeches from home with an audience of six people of my choosing but I decided against it since it really wouldn’t help me in the long run. I chose to come up to the school and deliver my speech in front of the instructor as well as his class for that night. I assumed that since it was a night class, it would be filled with no less than twenty people. But when I got there, I found out that there were only eight people in the class including myself and the instructor. That made me smile a bit since it ended up making my job a lot easier. To be honest, after watching the other speeches, I feel like I would have enjoyed the class more if I ended up taking it in the classroom instead but my schedule wouldn’t allow it. As for my speech, it went over well. It felt like I only spoke for two minutes but it ended up being five minutes and some change. After we finished, he informed us that he recorded them and we would have to evaluate ourselves and send in the form before the end of the week. I actually watched my speech last night and I did pick up on a few things that I’d like to improve. While delivering my speech, I spoke with my hands and that’s something that I feel should get eliminated or toned down a bit. Also, I thanked them for listening to my speech and Mr. Morford said something about the crowd should be thanking me, not the other way around. Not bad for the first speech, considering the subject matter. With three more, I’m feeling confident about improving after each one. I’ll have to finish up my evaluation form tonight so I can get my grade back.
I’ve really got to get the ball rolling with hinata, too! She keeps accusing me of not wanting to do things with her when it couldn’t be farther from the truth. It’s not my fault that she’s so lazy and doesn’t want to do anything with me. In all honesty, I think we’ve patched things up well and things will only improve with time. I guess it’s all about picking up on certain signs before it’s too late. I’ve been itching to roleplay Ling for the longest and she’s going to be my outlet for that one day~ I think that’s why I haven’t been watching the episodes of Brotherhood lately. I’m letting them stack up and I honestly want to have something to go along with the roleplays whenever they do start. How could you not like Lan Fan? She’s so cute and serious all the time. The only difference between the character and the girl that is going to play her for me is that the girl loves insulting me while Lan Fan attacks anyone who talks shit about Ling. That’s pretty messed up, isn’t it? Ah well~ It’s been like that for years and it ain’t going anywhere.
Corey got his laptop so that means whenever I go back down to Rock Hill, he’ll have interwebs and I don’t have to worry about only having anime to survive. I’ve been really enjoying Red Dead Redemption this week, too. Sometimes, all you need is a little break to get your edge back and that’s what ended up happening with it. I’m not too happy with the ending but it does make sense and that’s all that matters. I ended up getting revenge and making $460 out of it. Outside of the glitches, Rockstar managed to create another game that I absolutely love. Even the soundtrack is amazing. Good thing it came as a pre-order deal because I never would have experienced Compass. I’d most certainly recommend it to all of my gamer friends. I’ll probably get a good thirty minutes of game time before going to sleep after class. I’ve been sleeping a lot lately~
Well, class is happening in twenty minutes from now so that's where I wrap this up. Had a lot of fun writing this. I'll probably do another big one like this in a couple of weeks.
