[When the phone is picked up there's some nervous fiddling before she clears her throat and then finally gets on with what she'd wanted to say.]
I just want to get this in the open here and now before anything else happens.
I'm really sorry about my new husband and personally apologize to anyone he's offended, hurt, or otherwise terrorized now or in the future.
[She's such a puppy and he's so mean and since he's her "husband" that means she's got a modicum of responsibility for his actions unfortunately.]
If there's anything I can do to make it up to any of you just let me know.
