So my hall gets visited by basically every tour group that comes through Brandeis. Our hall has made it our responsibility to show them some of the more, let's say "interesting" things that go on in college. At the beginning of the year, Becky and I made it our duty to do fun hall activites like wrestling when tour groups came through. Aparently, this scared one of the tour guides who now takes tours down the other hallway. One time, a tour knocked on our door to see our room and found Becky in bed with Jacques. A nice, but naive parent walked in and asked the tour guide in a shocked voice, "ARE THEY ALLOWED TO DO THAT?!?!?" Guess that's one less freshman for next year. Becky and I also enjoy yelling things across the quad like "how's the VD?" Unfortinatly, this semester, our schedules do not permit us the enjoyment of harassing tours. As a result, there has been much less excitement. However, it being spring break for most high school and also acceptance time, there have been somewhere near 100 people a day making their way through the halls of Shapiro 1b. So, the boys took it up themselves to kick up the fun a step.
A hallmate, Brain, has this styrofoam rooster that is covered in feathers and rather realistic looking. Using a collection of pieces from the broken pool table in the lounge and other random items, Brian constructed an alter atop which he sat said rooster. At tour time, Brian gets on his knees, chants, raising his arms and asks the group, "Are there any virgins amoung you? The master needs the pure ones." I have yet to see this in actions but apparently the reactions are hysterical. Our CA is even in on it, making his own comments as he passes by like, "here's the virgin." :-D ahhh college.
