Fanmix: love was a trucker's hand
This is a fanmix for 'The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things' by J. T. Leroy. It's split loosely into three sections but they're kind of like the sections on Counting Crow's 'Recovering the Satellites' - i.e., you can more or less ignore them.
If you ignore the fandom part, themes include: drugs, violence, fucked up sexuality, religion, and life on the road.
I owe a shout-out to likecharity 's fabulous Edmund/Jadis mix crystal ships dripping with ice, because two or three of the tracks are shamelessly ripped off there. It's also heavy on The Hold Steady and Drive-By Truckers. And there's a pinch of Nick Cave.
