Tightly-wound sexual tension fic; the little moments when things change. God, it's a thing of beauty.
NEW Comparisons by lizardwriter (Lily/Kat, Lily/Meg)
Contains a teensy bit of Kat-bashing but you're all big girls/boys, right? I suppose what really impressed me about this was seeing how much lizard has grown as a writer; I think that's really demonstrated by her comment fics for the Queerly Awesome ficathon, and it makes me happy. Also: Lily/Meg. <3

Totally ridiculous (but of course) and totally sweet. Look, an example of how shan should just live in a hut on the mountain side and just write fic: "Pass takes her out to a pub and buys her far too many shots. One of them is blue; as it burns a hot trail down her throat, she thinks that it's the shade of Kaya's eyes exactly, and grins stupidly until Pass wants to know what he has on his face."

"The first emotion Kat remembers associating with Lily is fear." Aw, fuck. There are a lot of feelings in this. It may do things to your heart.

Crackfoxx does her usual thing of difficult decisions and muted pain, and, as usual, it's amazing. Lily is a doofus, but she figures it out in the end.

Gravity's Peculiar Work by jengrrrl (Lily/Kat)
Love the themes of truth and acting and whether or not acting is a kind of truth. Love the whole thing, actually. There's a bit of heartbreak, a bit of fluff, and Meg is great.

I didn't read the pairings for this story, so for the first part I was willing Meg to end up with Kaya. Then she did - happy days! Another of the recent slew of fics where Lily and Kat, rather than being adorable, just need to get their shit together - not that Meg is any better. Something about this fic feels so real; they're teenagers, they're not sure, they have sex and hang out and can't quite figure out what's best for them.

"Hand between Kat's thighs, Lily says, 'Maybe I love you.' " I don't know why, but I think I love this because of the 'maybe'. Somehow it seems more romantic that way. Smutty but beautiful; also really well written, as you'd expect from this author.
