Uncle Ken is gone. He left Monday. I didn't even really get to talk to him before he left, like a real talk like we always would have. Gosh it sucks. I didn't tell him how much he means to me or how grateful and thankful i am for having him in my life. This is so hard. And im probably the only one who it taking this so hard. Just think about how you would feel if the people who basically raised you since you moved here, the people who always let you come to their house and you practically lived there, the people who you made sure you knew you were loved and cared for by them, the people who saved my life numerous times...if they called you up on a Saturday and said they needed to come over to talk to you. You expected a "your aunt is pregnant." or something like that and then right when you couldnt wait for him to say those words he says, "Livi, im sorry but me and jalee have decided to step down from the youth ministry." i cant even explain how i felt. but then it only got worse. He then added, "We have also excepted a position in Denver, Colorado." I just didnt want to believe any of this. it felt like my whole life was being taken from me. its been a little more than a month since then and I'm starting to except it but not fully yet. But i know this will turn into good. God has provided me with so much comfort and security during this time and for me to doubt God in this would be the worse thing i could do. He has given us an amazing couple to take uncle ken and aunt jalee's position, a extremely talented woman to lead worship. I think if i start noticing what God has given me, my understanding of Uncle Ken and Aunt Jalee's leaving will begin to form.
