well while i am waiting for my mother to call me back and tell me where the digicam is so i can do my salutation, i will do this nice little survey stolen from the lovely lauren corry.
anyways, this family stuff is hard and i haven't seen my mom in days, she's been at the hospital 24/7. she is my best friend really, and it is seriously difficult to be home alone with my crazy bipolar brother and my well-intentioned but slightly clueless or obsessive father. i miss her a lot.
i have basically been feeling like poop for a few days, but i have found a combination of medicine that should fix me (well at least for now). it is just an icky combination of cramps, a cold, headaches, a weird throat issue, and sometime tummy hurtiness too.
have i ever mentioned that will is awesome? seriously.
vinay today said that i look like the girl from princess diaries before the makeover. thanks, meaniebutt.
but will was wonderful and sweet and all that jazz.
so also, i am coxing this fall season. this is both a + and a -.
+: coxing is a good thing to learn. also it is much easier. and no stressing for 2ks and stuff.
-: i sort of really need to get in shape. but then again, there is winter training...and i will try and work out whenever i can, but that never happens because i suck. also, i suck so far.
so a really not awesome thing between me doing fall rowing and will doing different fall rowing:
1. cbc is doing the charles, which is hc weekend, =no hc. and we aren't doing it.
2. the top 2 boats (from this girls crew) is doing schuylkill. and the cbc boys aren't. i probably won't cox 2nd boat anyway, so not a dilemma, but i sort of want to, blah blah blah.
also, college visiting? this is really limiting time here. though it's not nearly as bad as 6 weeks without seeing him at all. definitely.
school is hard. work is hard. but i am getting better at managing time. aka i dont go to sleep past 11-11:30 anymore. and grades aren't bad. (except for that math quiz...yikes).
college is kind of scary, but really isn't one of my major worries right now. i will get in somewhere, probably not my top choices but the schools im applying to are all good and i would be happy at any of them. except i am no way going to uva, and i need to convince my mom not to make me apply because it's the only noncommonapp of my schools and its too many extra essays. icky.
i can't wait for winter break. not because i don't like school, because i do. but winter break is the one time of the year that my best friendsish don't really go anywhere, and i go skiing for a few days or so, but there is that amazing winterness. winter=my favorite season. the snow, the cheerfulness and holidays, the romanticness, and the comfortablenesss of it all, not to mention the wonderful clothing (yay sweaters!).
i am not excited about my salutation, but it will be ok and i will just get the damn thing over with. it will not be really deep, and it might be not really creative but no one else has done it (that i have seen at least), and it will be sort of easy to explain. it is a messy idea, and i am a messy person, and it works.
