Cheers to humble beginnings
This summer is going to be the best ever!!! I Gina is our new roommate! Ana will stay for the summer. I have been laughing, working in a team a lot which drives me to yell a lot. ; ) Participating in cheesy sing-along’s like “Diamond Girl”.
We live in a beautiful void of a house, too much space, not enough things. I somewhat think that I will never love our home as much as I do now that it is empty. Every morning before work, I stroll through the house barefoot and layout imaginary furniture. The possibilities are endless. When I get home in the afternoons I often find myself laid out in different spots on the floor. I am convinced the space will never be used better. Of course those furnished homes get “Boom” when it comes to comfort. ; ). Lately I feel like the tiniest of birds, trying to find little wooden twigs to entwine into my nest. I say tiniest because when it comes to lifting furniture, I wish I had the upper body strength of my fellow lesbians. I surf through Ikea untrusting of the quality. You just can’t buy a couch you can’t sit on (I repeat to myself).
So far both bathrooms are painted in minty mod look that coordinates with all the sweet bathroom stuff we bought at bed bath and beyond. Everything else is locked in closets except for a lonely mattress. My roof garden and the darkroom are projects that excite me the most but are among those I must hold off on. I plan on painting the closets tonight so we can put up the closet organizers. Rooms we have no idea what colors to paint are: living room/ Gina’s room/ Cristy and Jax’s room/ the office/ the kitchen. If you have any Ideas please post. I hope working on the house never gets old because it’s so much fun. Gina is the more of a bomb than any lip balm because she loves how corky I am.
