A/N: This idea has been sitting in the back of my mind since I first watched Never Let Me G last year and I feel I finally have enough resources to push ahead with writing it. It may start slowly, but as soon as I get used to the writing style for this fic, updates should be a little more frequent.

You can never truly love someone who is in love with someone else. Nothing will be fresh, or untouched, or whole, for you will always only recieve pieces of them. Pieces which have already been touched
Pieces that are scuffed around the edges.
But these pieces, no matter how torn, or frayed, or scuffed - you will accept them
You will reach out and hold onto them with every hope that someday, if you believed it enough, they would come back to you. All of them. And they would smile at you, and you would see the spark finally igniting in their eyes.
But until that day. Until that eternal moment with which you can say you waited for, pushed towards mercilessly - you will always be at war.
