A/N: The absolute last chapter!
Miruki was falling, and it was getting hot, disgusting, and she was suffocating. She screamed in pain, she screamed until her throat began to hurt. Her screaming stopped when she felt soft and gentle hands grab onto her hand. A bright light shined on her to see two people. Something from hell tried to grab her, but a barrier prevented that as she was brought up into the clouds. Her eyes widen when she realizes where she is. She was brought into an embrace by two pairs of warm arms. "Sensei?" But she was suddenly brought down to earth, with her loving teacher, and his wife...
It's been a whole year since she died...
"I-Iie! It's just... You really look like someone I've met before..." She blinked a couple of times and smiled, smiled so beautifully. It was a genuine smile, to show how happy she truly is.
"Miruki!!" Tegoshi's eyes widen his head snaps up to see a familiar man. He's... Oshakura Masashi.
"Otou-san!" Miruki exclaims running up to him.
"Oi, what're you doing out here?" Tegoshi's seen him a few times, for Parent-Teacher conferences, although... They didn't even need to, but it must have been so they could convince the teachers that she has a guardian.
"Okaa-san wanted me to run to get groceries out here!" She pouted, and then grinned mischievously. Masashi sighed scratching his head, but smiled non-the-less.
"Hai, Kio tsukete, ne?"
"Un!" He ruffled the girls head as she tried to dodge. He looked toward Tegoshi and gave him a glare that said, "I have shot gun in my basement, and I won't mind getting it out if you even try to touch my daughter!" Masashi walked away, briefcase at hand. Miruki laughed and she faced Tegoshi smiling. "Yosh! Bye bye!" She waved and jogged away, Tegoshi waved slightly. He jolted when he heard his name called. Turning around to see Rai. The last time he saw Rai, his face was bitter when they buried Miruki's ashes next to Masashi. But now, he can smile again.
"Rai-san..."
"It's them... But at the same time it's not..." Rai said walking forward, but stopped right behind Tegoshi. "I wonder if... God decided to give them a second chance..." He paused for a moment before continuing, with Tegoshi facing his back. "Miruki has always been a kind girl, but because she was a Hunter, she couldn't show that. Now these are her true colors lighting the world with her ultimate joy. And Masashi and Kisaki, my sister and his wife, are the two to keep her happy." He faced Tegoshi with a smile. "You also got a second chance Yuya... Go for it." Rai walked the way he came from, that's back towards Miruki's grave. The new Miruki is still in sight, and he ran. Tegoshi ran to her. He grabbed her arm, surprising her.
"Eh?"
"Please, will you go on a date with me?!" Her eyes widen in surprise and she blinked a few times.
"E-Eh?! Matte, don't you have a girlfriend!?" She pointed to his bouquet and he shook his head.
"It's for a grave..." Her face softened a bit.
"Ah, sumimasen..." He looked up to her with a serious expression.
"Ne, will you go on a date with me?" He bowed, causing the young girl to blush.
"D-Demo... Otou-san... He'd kill you..." Tegoshi gave her a serious look.
"I don't care! I'll even go to hell if that's what it takes for you to go out with me!" Miruki blinked again, and she raised an eyebrow.
"Etto... Was that an indirect confession?"
"Hai!"
"Uh... Okay, I'll go on a date with you..." Tegoshi smiled.
"Yosh!" He told her to dress in whatever way she wants and they'll be on their way tomorrow.
While walking away, he smiled. Miruki.... He looked up into the sky slightly thanking God. I promise, I'll become a better man to you then I have ever been! Yakusoku.
Tegoshi bought flowers from, well, a flower shop. Nothing has really changed when everyone came back. Sure a lot of people had questions, and everyone was in chaos, but probably after a few days, well, months, everyone calmed down. And no one has mentioned it again. Ryosuke confronted me about his feelings for Miruki, I think... He blames me though. I think he thinks that it's my fault that she died and the reason why she left. He has a right to be angry with me. I indirectly told her I hated her, but... She said, "While he was lost in thought he suddenly bumped into someone carrying groceries. "Gomenasai!" The girl exclaimed, picking up her groceries. His eyes widen, the voice was so familiar, he looked down, if it was possible, his eyes came out. It was Miruki, but she looked as though she was glowing. He began helping her pick up what she dropped and she smiled at him. "Ah, arigato!" Tegoshi simply nodded his head, in shock. It was Miruki, but she seemed to be different, happier. She looked the same as she did the last time they saw her clean with no blood. Except both her eyes were shown, clips holding back her hair. He could clearly see that they were brown and they showed graciously. She wore simple sneakers, a shirt that says, "Lolita Punk," and she wore normal jeans. She looked like a normal girl instead of a traveler. She suddenly tilted her head in confusion. "Eh? Doushita no? Do I have something on my face?" Tegoshi's eyes snapped and he shook his head furiously.I'll always forgive you, even if you hate me..." How could I have done that to her, why had I began think I wanted to kill her... Miruki, I chose you to be my partner because you were so young and... I wanted you to know that there are people notice you in a bright light... And being your first love, I hurt you... I know you have forgiven me, but... I can't forgive myself.
