[The feed begins. Leon, is shown with his head lowered trying to adjust some controls below the camera. Around him is the inside of his ship- an updated Wolfen.]
if this thing still works out here, well I'll be damned...
[He looks at the camera curiously.] Huh. It actually works! Assuming this broadcast actually reaches somewhere. [pokes Camera lens and grins] It'll be a laugh if it can reach planet Earth from all the way out here.
Um...
[Leon sits back and clears his throat].
This is Leon Powalski. The GREAT Leon. PRESENT DAY Leon. Present day being some several-ish years past Lylat Wars or 2011 on Final Destination's calendar.
I was flying over to Lylat so I could bring some critters back from Sauria for a nifty little class project. It was gonna start off the school year with a bang, I tell ya!
[Looks away, ponderishly] I never did fly to Sauria from that direction before. 'Wound up straight into some time rift garbage...
and landed in Venom.
... During the Lylat Wars.
[crossing his arms, looking at the camera again] I think it's a doomed timeline because I apparently died when Fichina's base exploded right when I was shot down, and when the rest of Star Wolf found me here, they just figured I narrowly escaped death.
We're being deployed soon to... [what if Slippy's watching this?] fend off Star Fox. I could go on about how I'm going through this nonsense all over again, but I'm pretty sure Wolf and I took them on at Bolse after they detoured at Titania for whatever-the-heck reason.
[chortles] Look at me wasting time playing with a webcam that probably doesn't reach anywhere. My first moments alone since getting here and I'm doing this instead of finding that warp to get back to my own time.
But...
I think I'm going to just play along in this timeline until my role is finished here. Looking back (literally, almost), this war is kind of silly and I was in it for the violence. I'm wondering if I should plan something different so that Star Wolf actually BEATS Star Fox, given this is an alternate timeline that no one should care about, or should Star Fox be able to get through to see how closely the end matches up to my own timeline. I'll be clipping Lombardi's wings regardless-
[The communicator turns on for incoming message. Visuals aren't shown on camera, but a whole bunch of shooting, explosions, and babble can be heard starting with a familiar-sounding, "
Entering Venom Air Defense Zone!". Leon shuts up and starts messing with his ships controls while his attention was also on the Area 6 audio feed. His own video feed will turn off when it's time to go.]
