I got an awesome present today. The best I'll ever get.
It's a present that won't get ruined in the rain or heat...I won't have to worry about someone stealing it...and I can't wear it or use it...
Laura threw me and Maricett a combined surprise birthday party.
And I was sooo surprised. She told me it was Maricett's party. And she told Maricett it was my party. And we both bought it. And apparently our reactions were priceless.
I came second, I missed Maricett getting surprised...apparently she walked in saying "it ain't me, it ain't me." But it was. And I walked in, got confetti thrown at me as soon as the door opened, and the next thing I knew I was crying...I wasn't for real crying, my eyes were just tearing. But when you're overcome by shock, happiness, and shock, you cry...at least I do. I was scared...people I didn't know were there (other than Megan, I knew she was there) were throwing stuff at my face.
The memories will last a lifetime if for some reason the pictures and videos don't.
It was the Amazing Race. Laura, Amber, and I in one group, and Megan, Maricett, and Haylee in the other. We were with Laura's dad...my first task was to go to the city pool, get a swim test, then jump off the high dive. This proved to be a disaster...I hate heights. Then we went to the library, where Laura checked out a book with a color in the title. I was soaking wet. Then Amber had to go to a pizza place and eat a jalapeno. She hates all things spicy like that. But then she had the next task, which was to eat ice cream without her hands or a spoon. Then Laura had to go to her dad's house and blow up and put on water wingies and dive for a dive stick. Then I had to go to the mall and get a take-out menu, a perfume sample, and a mall directory. We were in the mall for 4 minutes, maybe. And we got everything. Then we arrived back at Laura's house RIGHT AFTER Maricett's group did. It was soo much fun. Then Maricett and I got whipped cream pies in our faces...it was pretty funny because we flung it at everyone, then had to jump in the pool to get it off. It wasn't funny when I had to walk around smelling like whipped cream...if there's one thing I hate...lol. Then we had cake, then presents, then hung out.
Today was awesome. Simply fantastic. Thanks so much Laura, I don't know how I could ever say thank you enough times. I had a blast. You were right. You did get me my favorite present.
