I had my first day of Chinese lessons (level 6) today at the Ateneo and all I can say is... NAKAKALOKA!
I thought it was going to be easy like the previous lessons I had but, boy, was I wrong! Our teacher (龙老师 - her last name means "dragon") came straight from China and knows very little English. Needless to say, she's totally clueless when it comes to Tagalog. She was yakking on for the whole three hours and constantly asks me for examples when she knows I'm having a hard time! Hahaha!
Anyway, the lunar new year is drawing near. It means jubesity season is once again around the corner. Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Singapore will be on a 2-week holiday. I AM SO ENVIOUS! And did you know they have their own Chinese new year menu at Mcdonald's?
Next week, instead of having our regular classes, students will be treated to a Dumpling making demonstration at the Ateneo Makati Campus (HELLO, POWERPLANT!). Of course, we will also get to taste the finished products. :D
But what excites me the most about the Lunar New Year is the 红包! Hahaha!
So to everyone who can read Chinese, 给我很多很多红包!!!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
我恭喜你们发财!!!!!
