Lauren's Loony Over Laptop In London!
So today is fun!
Took my laptop in to Laptop Repair Man. He was unable to repair laptop, but was able to salvage some files. Photos and coursework and things. Thought I'd be able to reformat it myself, but the problem seems to get worse, not better, with everything I do. Hard drive is now dying and computer is running super slow.
I can't connect my external hard drive without my computer crashing, which means I can't get the Office installation file off of there, which means I can't even open my dissertation onto my laptop.
About the only thing I CAN do is buy ANOTHER new hard drive and set that up. That'll set me back about another $70. Anyone want to donate to Lauren's "MOMMA NEEDS ANOTHER NEW FUCKING HARD DRIVE" fund!? Purty please?!?!
What the hell is it with me and hard drives anyways? Considering that iPods are essentially hard drives, that means I've gone through SIX hard drives in the past two years! FOUR in the last year alone. WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?! Am I a walking magnetic field??
Anyways, am forced now to sit in the smelly computer lab in my dorm with the other smelly students to work on my dissertation.
