Jamie

"Walker, where are the kids?" I asked quietly.

He glanced up at me from his seat outside of Taylor's room. "They're all in the waiting room with Diana. I think they're tired. I don't know how any of them are going to sleep for the next few months. None of us will. Jamie, this is so horrible. I don't know what to do now," he said, hanging his head hopelessly.

"Walker, Zac wants to turn off the life support machine," I said to him.

He looked up at me, shock apparent on his features. "What ... are you sure?"

"Yes. He's allowed to isn't he? I think it means a lot to him, I'm not sure what's going through his mind right now," I replied.

"I'll have to speak to the docter. He'll be here in about ten minutes."

"Walker, take your family home. I'll stay here with Zac, but take them home and comfort them. I'm sure that they don't want to be stuck in a hospital any longer."

He nodded at me. "Thankyou Jamie. You have been incredible throughout all of this, do you know that?" He stood up, picking up his jacket. "You are amazing, thankyou, so much."

I nodded at him with a smile. It was a half hearted smile though. I watched him walk towards the waiting room, before I slipped into Tay's room quietly.

I stepped over to the bed, noticing that no one had turned on the lights yet. A single lamp from outside shone through the window, along with the moonlight. I sat beside him, and gently touched his hand. He responded and I nearly choked in shock. He stirred and then his eyes fluttered open for a moment. I caught a glimpse of his blue pearly eyes, before they closed again and he sobbed in pain.

"Taylor?" I whispered.

"Ahh," was his pained reply.

"I'll get someone, don't worry." I ran out of the room, and thankfully, I saw the docter walking down the corridor towards me. As soon as he saw my face, he rushed to Taylor and injected his arm with something. Almost immediatly afterwards, Taylor sank back into his sleep.

"He might not respond much now," the docter said before he left the room. I watched him head towards the waiting room.

After one last touch to Taylor's hand, I headed back towards Zac's room to where he was lying on his bed, looking pale and far-off.

"Zac? It's almost time. Your family are going home soon. I'm going to stay with you, okay?"

"Yeah," he replied.

"Come on then," I coaxed him out of the room and we headed down the corridor together.
